In her bedroom, all are gathered for an exorcism by the Inquisitor and Domptius. She is writhing and pinned down to the bed. They go through the exorcism sacraments. She begins to say she is possessed by 666 demons that Gaufridy put inside her. They don’t know they even know each other. They see the marks.
They decide to call on Gaufridy under the guise to help, but also watch. And question. Because they know of his failed attempts at exorcism in the past. Maybe he is in fact the architect of possessions because he failed, because he has in fact, made a pact with the devil. Both girls, Louise and Madeleine are expressing accusations, the same man…how could it be possible (because they don’t know they met and that she has developed a love and sickness for him).
Madeleine in her bed, scrim downstage leaving room Michaelis and Narrator in front. During Madeleine’s part, Narrator is in the downstage left corner, watching her.
